We being Indians have different cultures, practice different religions, different languages, and have a variety of cuisine and people. Each place has its own history & that’s the beauty of India. India is a secular country with 29 states and 8 union territories. We have 22 known languages in India, all have different traditions, customs and the food of each state has its type of food depending on the cultural and climatic conditions. In India we can experience the mountains at the north, desert on the west, a lot of vegetation in the east and greenery and sea surrounded on the south of India. India is also known for its varieties of spices.
If you have not wayfared India, this is the time to know about the divine beauty of India more deeply. Living during COVID-19 and missing out on going on trips due to fear of contracting the virus can be a very sad feeling.
Being at home is the safest place to be at this moment of Pandemic, as there is no proper vaccine for the COVID-19 virus yet. Although if you have good immunity, proper knowledge and follow proper instructions you can avoid getting in contact with the virus. As coronavirus is not airborne and it spreads through droplets of saliva or mucus that get ejected into the air whenever someone who has COVID-19 coughs or sneezes, those virus droplets can also contaminate commonly-touched surfaces, and sometimes stay there for a while and for that we should practice regular hand washing and avoid touching our face. When out in public it is suggested to keep a sanitizer bottle with you, put on your PPE Suit, face mask (N95) always & put gloves on, putting glove remind you that you should avoid touching your face.
When you finally plan to travel in this pandemic, it’s not safe to travel by AIR, TRAIN AND BUS, because these being a public transport is very risky as it is always crowded with people, sanitization being a big question mark.
Exploring India during this pandemic maybe a better option for some road travelers although long distance ones and international travel should be avoided till the vaccine has been discovered.
Even though most people don’t prefer Caravan’s in India, The future is traveling safely and with comfort by a “Touring Caravan” Or “Camper van”. The touring caravan is a place to sleep which is more pleasurable and protected than a tent and has to be towed by your car where ever you go, and also depends on which type of car you use to tow depending on the weight of the caravan, whereas the campervan is a self-propelled vehicle that provides both transport and sleeping accommodation.

Hence, when you start to think about your traveling plan with Caravan or a Camper van , check for these points:
CAMPERVANS |
1. To convert a vehicle to Camper vans many people use vehicles. like FORCE TRAVELLER, TOYOTA HIACE, TATA CITYRIDE EX32 and any MVP (multi-purpose vehicle) in India.
SUV & CARAVAN |
2. And RV(recreational vehicle) can sometimes be pain as, it is big and parking can sometimes be an issue in Indian roads, and if the weight of your trailer is more than towing vehicle, then the trailer might be controlling your vehicle and sometimes the cops might notice and stop you from travelling, which will make your trip go bad. So, do drive with proper skills & always look for a trailer which is less than 3000 Kilogram as it is ideal for any car to tow. And use a SUV for towing as it has the capacity to tow a 3000 kilogram of trailer maximum.
3. To get your Caravan made perfect there are many makers who help you with drawings, all the thing you need to add, and remember more the amenities the price might increase so try to look at the important stuff and make it simple. Below are the famous caravan and Campervan makers in India:

5. Check how much weight your license allows you to tow, and the legal towing limit of your vehicle. Other factors include towing mirrors, caravan brakes, and number plates. But in India as the road are muddy and the roads are narrow in the rural areas, so if the people travelling is 2-3’s company then you should prefer the Campervan as it does not require a towing or heavy vehicle license (not more than 3000 kilograms). But if you are using a car to tow a trailer more than 3500 kilograms you might need a License updating.
6. First thing you need a GPS in your camper van or Caravan as people might be very kind to you by giving you directions, but it’s better to ask 2-3 people and especially the local Auto Rickshaw guys or better be sure with GPS.
7. It is always suggested to start your trip early when travelling to cities as you can avoid the traffic and reach your destination early. But always drive slow and safe. Try to enjoy your ride.
FOOD STUFF/MEDICINES/CROCKERY/COOLER |
8. Always pack your Cookware, some ready to eat meals, fire extinguisher, clothing according to number of day’s you are travelling and keep more of Energy bars, water bottles, medication, air-freshener, sanitizer,Alcohol based disinfectant spray for seats and toilets, garbage bags, dish washing liquid, also keep a kettle for water boiling, portable stove for cooking purpose, couple of chairs and a terrain bike. We should avoid street food vendors and small restaurants for at least some time.
9. Carry your portable stove for cooking food.
10. The portable toilet is a compact, two-part system comprised of a seat/flush tank with a holding tank underneath. They are much more advanced than they sound, however, and are fitted out with bells and whistles that make their use and maintenance easy. To empty, the holding tank is separated from the seat/flush section and the contents poured out at a waste-disposal point. No electricity or plumbing required.

11. Buying solar panels for your RV or camper van is a great way to charge your batteries. Once installed they provide energy you can use anytime the sun is out. But before going into buying panels and batteries and components, you should consider the best type of solar panel for you.
12. From admiring the beauty outside, to taking care of their belongings inside, there is a lot that kids get to do when you add caravans to an exciting trip. Further, you can bring along their favorite toys, games to ensure that they have a good time.So you get to educate the kids about safety in camp site and caravan camping.
13. I would suggest you guys to use Camper vans as it is safer to sleep in and it’s not that there are no bad people but extra care is required. Most of Campervans and RV have cameras fitted at the rear and front. Still sometimes before parking in some place it’s better to check with nearby hotel or camping site to allow you park your vehicle for a night, which is much safer.
These caravan and camper vans can be expensive for a common man but you can add things according to your budget and requirement, with these toys is your hand you can protect your family and enjoy your ride without the fear of Corona Pandemic but still minimal precautions are needed.
